Sleek Double Headband in Sterling Silver

I'm a hairstylist and a metalsmith, and I designed this headband for enduring beauty and exceptional comfort.

Most headbands pinch, dig in, or slide around because they're made to hold just one shape – but I've never met anyone whose head is that "standard" shape!

The sterling silver in this headband is beautiful and durable, but it also does something that feels a little like magic: it remembers new curves. Gently adjust the headband with your fingers until it follows the exact shape of your head, and your headband will hold that personalized fit.

You'll reach for it every day because, once it's on, you'll forget you're even wearing it.

I make this design in several lengths -- choose the length that's right for you, then make a few gentle adjustments to create a fit that's uniquely yours.

I hand forge each headband from solid sterling silver in my California studio. I make these to order, so while yours will be very much like the one pictured, it will also have its own unique personality.

GETTING THE FIT RIGHT

⚭ 14 and 15 inches tend to fit average-sized adult women's heads, and 16 and 17 inches fit larger heads.

⚭ One way to measure is to use a headband you already love as a guide. You can use a tape measure to find its length by following the example in the measurement photo on the page – just be sure to measure along the inner curve, the part that rests against your head.

⚭ If you don't have a reference headband, no worries! You can also use your fingertips to find where you'd like the ends of the headband to sit near each ear. Gently press with your fingertips to find the most comfortable spot for the headband's pressure. Once you've found those spots, place one end of a tape measure there, run it over the top of your head where the headband would lay, and bring it down to the spot by your other ear.
